RIA, Mashups, Web 2.0: Explaining the Language of the Web

Presented by Aaron Nance, Security/Web Manager, Southwestern Illinois College

The web has become an essential business tool. As with many technical fields the web has developed its own language. While this eases communication between those in the field, it tends to make communication between web staff, executives, project managers, and other business stakeholders difficult. In this presentation we will explore web terminology and concepts in layman’s terms, giving examples to illustrate their application in order to facilitate better communication within the organization.
