Change in the field of information technology, especially the Internet has been the impetus for the faculty at Webster University to reevaluate the University’s current program offerings in the area of computer science. There appears to be a gap in what industry demands in college graduates and what students are learning in the classroom. This presentation will focus on the areas within IT that are most affected by recent technological changes. The faculty at Webster is committed to producing qualified individuals prepared to enter the workforce. Knowledge gained through dialog with IT professionals and information presented in current literature will guide future curriculum revisions.
