November 2005
I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge those companies that have supported Our AITP Chapter this year. I must begin by acknowledging Sue Morton and Data Dash. Data Dash has supported us not just this year but ever year that I have been involved for the last 15 years. Sue Morton has contributed her time and the resources of Data Dash over the years. She has provided a projector for use whenever we have needed it as well as any other equipment we have needed over the years. Data Dash has always been there for us whenever we have needed any help with the time and participation of it's employees and staff or the resources of the company. Data Dash has advertised in this newsletter and given so much to our organization. Data Dash has provided door prizes over the years whenever we needed them. Sue Morton is a past president, and current Director, representing us at the National AITP. She has served in many different Positions and been a Board Member for over 15 years. Susan Morton is the best of AITP!
The way that we show our support and appreciation is to utilize the services of Data Dash When we need the services let's contact them. Let's support our supporters!! Please go to the website and see what services are offered by Data Dash and use them as well as tell your friends about them. Data Dash provides data entry services as well as image processing services, which are only some of the many services the company can provide. Premier Knowledge Solutions offers the members of AITP a 20% discount on all training. I have utilized the services and experienced the discount and so have other members. Andrew Pretroline has joined our chapter and has been dedicated to helping the chapter. Premier Knowledge Solutions is currently providing a projector for our guest speaker presentations each week for as long as we need it. We appreciate the support. The door prize which Premier provided at the last meeting was for their upcoming MicroSoft SharePoint training. That was such a generous contribution. Andrew is now receiving mentoring from Gene Dultz for the duties involved in Meetings planning, and participating with the Board of Directors.Let's support Premier Knowledge Solutions and show them our appreciation. www.premier-ks.com
SyllogisTeks is my employer and has supported me in my office of President this year as well as supported the AITP chapter. Our student chapter at Washington University has taken on a significant challenge this year (I will be saying more about it in my message next month). They are providing the University City schools with technical support and training. Rebel Saffold, the V.Pres., came to the Board to request help with getting used or new printers to contribute to the project. I asked SyllogisTeks for help and they came through. The President of SyllogisTeks, Maurie Smith, purchased two new printers and contributed them to the student chapter to assist this noble project. SyllogisTeks has hosted our Board meetings and provided projectors for speaker presentations when we have needed them. SyllogisTeks has provided door prizes for our meetings. SyllogisTeks also provided one of the scholarships that we awarded at our last meeting. Thanks to Maurie and SyllogisTeks! Let's support SyllogisTeks, an IT Staffing Company with 100 billable consultants assigned to Fortune 500 companies in St Louis. www.SyllogisTeks.com
Our next meeting is November 17 and the speaker is Jeff Cook, staff member of Premier Knowledge Solutions, and a MicroSoft certified professional who will speak on .NET: Where it comes from, what it's doing, and where it's heading. I look forward to seeing you there.
